Night Horse exploded on to the Los Angeles rock scene in 2008, playing their first live show ever, while mixing their debut EP ‘Dark Wont Hide You’ for Tee Pee Records.
Since then, Night Horse has caught the ears and eyes of critics and fans alike with their unique ability to blend the classic sounds of hard rock and blues music with a much needed breath of contemporary fresh air.
If Sonic Youth had been immersed in an ocean of Allman Brothers inspiration, or Soundgarden had been steeped in late 60s Fleetwood Mac, then they might have turned out something like this. Night Horse take traditional blues-rock, spark it up with riotously noisy ashes and drag the rhythms through an early 90s grunge experience.
Moreover, they’re cohesive, charismatic and compelling. Night Horse return with their highly anticipated sophomore ‘Perdition Hymns’, produced and mixed by Matt Bayles (Pearl Jam, Mastodon, The Sword). Perdition Hymns is a patent demonstration of a group that has quickly become a well refined song writing machine.
The band has chiseled the six minute jam style songwriting of ‘ Dark Wont Hide You’ into the hook-laden gems that comprise ‘Perdition Hymns’, with riff driven catchiness and soaring melodies that stick.
Songs like "Choose Your Side" and "Shake Your Blues" demonstrate guitarists Justin Maranga and Greg Buensuceso’s air for intricately weaving guitar leads and rhythmic patterns, much like their classic predecessors Thin Lizzy or MC5 did. Vocalist Sam James Velde balances his swagger with infectious melody and phrasing. At times harkening the reckless abandon and attitude of AC/DC's Bon Scott and the refined poise of Free's Paul Rogers, he holds steady to his own confidence and identity while spinning tales of love, loss and regret, without a plea for mercy or a tear to shed. The rhythm section of bassist Nick Dmitiri and drummer Jamie Miller stands as the brick and mortar; the glue that binds taut rhythms and locked grooves together to harness Night Horse's assault.
Perdition Hymns is a rock and roll classic for current times, a statement of what's to come within today's musical landsccape, a missing link to years gone by and a glimpse into what is about to become. It is released in Australia on August 27th 2010.

MONDO GENERATOR POSTPONE US TOUR
Mondo Generator have had to postpone their current US tour. The band are very sorry about this and would like to apologize to all involved; The shows will be rescheduled to run in December and January.

JASON SIMON RELEASE & AUSTRALIAN TOUR
Jason Simon, best known for his work as the guitarist and singer for the seminal heavy psych band known as Dead Meadow, releases his first solo album on Tee Pee Records in September, available in Australia and New Zealand through Impedance Records.
This is a stripped down and intimate record filled with intricate guitar work and poignant well-thought lyrics. Some songs are filled with dark brooding drones; others leisurely carry the listener down meandering rivers as they slowly develop in their own unhurried way.
There are shades of Bert Jansch, Leonard Cohen, Sandy Bull and Townes Van Zandt, but only shades as this is most certainly its own thing. It is a record to remind the listener that heavy does not come from loud distortion and huge drums, but rather from the depth within the song itself.

INTRODUCING THE MAIN STREET GOSPEL
The Main Street Gospel is a Columbus, Ohio trio who mix psych-infused classic rock with dusty country vibes and dirt-stained blues. The band was born in 2005, when Barry Dean–former tambourine shaker for the Brian Jonestown Massacre–began writing songs with longtime friend Ryan “Tito” Ida. Adam Scoppa joined the band on drums the following year.
Dean grew up around music, as his grandfather was a touring and recording guitarist for acts like Roy Rogers & The Sons of the Pioneers and The Georgia Crackers. It’s safe to say that passion for country music was passed on to his grandson. Tito grew up listening to Hank Williams and Bob Dylan and also paved his musical path early on. Scoppa takes his back beat cues from vintage Chicago blues and '60s garage.
Together, the band has a strong sense of understanding and respect for the true roots of rock n’roll. Their sound recalls elements of folk giants The Byrds and Neil Young, while at the same time retaining the modern aesthetics of revivalists like Spacemen 3 and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
To date, The Main Street Gospel have played several shows with like-minded bands such as Dead Meadow, Hopewell, Floorian and fellow Ohioans Buffalo Killers.
In early 2008, the trio mobilized themselves to Akron Analog Studio in Akron, Ohio to record what would become the band’s first 7" single. ‘All Your Love Is Gone’ b/w ‘Who Shot You Down’ was recorded and engineered by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, whose influence certainly resonates. While the songs are decidedly stripped-down in essence, they still manage to accomplish a big, layered sonic delivery.
The Main Street Gospel's debut album is 11 tracks of cool, driving rock n' roll titled Love Will Have Her Revenge, sure to please bluesy alternative country, classic rock, and psych fans. It is out in Australia on Tee Pee via Impedance on July 23rd.

We've had a lot of people asking about the availability of the new Mondo Generator single 'Dog Food. It is available to order now directly from this web site and you can also get copies at all the upcoming Mondo Generator shows.
In Australia and New Zealand it is available now at retail, while it is released to retail in Europe and UK this week.People in the US and Canada will have to wait a little longer to get it at retail, with a release date there set for July 13th.

The band continue their run of shows across the USA this month and next before heading to Europe in June.

THE DEVIL RIDES OUT SINGLE RELEASE
The Devil Rides out have unleashed the first single from their forthcoming album. The track titled 'Broken White Line' is available to stream now on their Myspace and Facebook pages. They'll launch it in Fremantle this Sunday.
The bands album 'The Heart & The Crown' is set for release on June 4th in Australia with international release dates to follow in September. The Devil Rides Out will head east for some shows in New Soth Wales, Victoria and Queensland in June, dates will be announced here later this week.
The second album from Melbourne's Wicked City titled 'With Wings' is out this coming Friday April 9th in Australia and New Zealand. You can get it now directly from us, from good retailers from Friday and also at their launch which takes place at The Old Bar in Melbourne on Saturday April 10th.
The album will be released inetrnationally later this year with a European tour likely for November.
